Dr. Amy Reidhead
DC, FNP, BSN-RN, FIAMA
Dr. Reidhead is a double board certified Chiropractic Physician and Family Nurse Practitioner. She is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and holds a Bachelor of Science in both Nursing and Human Biology. She has spent the past 25 years honing her skills as a functional and integrative medical provider in Boulder, Colorado.
Dr. Reidhead specializes in treating the root causes of fatigue, sleep and mood conditions, hormone and digestive issues, as well as autoimmune disorders. Additionally, she has extensive training in environmental illness and can tackle complex medical issues like mold and other bio-toxin related illness such as Lyme disease.
Dr. Reidhead has clinical experience with functional and integrative pediatrics, women’s health and family medicine. As a functional and integrative medical provider, she aligns herself with the best and brightest like-minded providers in her field. She is a proud member of the Institute of Functional Medicine where she has completed multiple advanced health module certifications on gut health, detoxification, hormones, and energy. She is also a founding member of the prestigious environmental health association, ISEAI.
Dr. Reidhead looks forward to exploring the latest in the relationship between our micro-biome and its connection to our lifestyle and genetics to best support healthy aging and bring this knowledge to help her patients heal and thrive.
Dr. Fox is a trained family physician who integrates natural healing modalities with Western medicine, providing integrative care for the whole family. She brings a unique blend of western medicine, herbal medicine, nutrition and exercise counseling, supplements and stress reduction techniques to provide her patients with a true holistic approach to healing.
Dr. Fox begins the healing journey with her patients with a two hour intake to unearth the underlying triggers that contribute to imbalance and dis-ease. She uses the latest cutting edge technology and lab testing to help illuminate the underlying causes. She does an extensive work up and tailors a unique individual treatment for you to restore balance and bring you back to wellness.
With her integrative, natural approach, she has expertise in fatigue, insomnia, gut dysfunction, hormone imbalance, Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome from mold toxicity and Lyme disease.
Dr. Fox is on the medical advisory panel for the Change The Air Foundation, she is a founding member of ISEAI, and she is a proud member of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine and ILADS.
Story
Dr. Reidhead began her journey into the field of health care in Missouri where she received her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Logan University of Chiropractic in St. Louis in 1997 with an emphasis in cranial sacral therapy and applied and clinical kinesiology. In 1999, Dr. Reidhead completed a Fellowship in Acupuncture from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. In 2001, Dr. Reidhead became one of the first 10 chiropractors in the country to become a Brimhall Certified Provider. In 2004, she completed multiple certifications in Advanced Neurology.
In 2008, Dr. Reidhead’s passion for learning and desire to practice more integrative functional medicine lead her to pursue an advanced nursing career. Dr. Reidhead attended nursing school at Hardin Simmons University in Texas, gaining extensive experience in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Medicine while working in the Level One Trauma center at BenTaub hospital in Houston, Texas. Dr. Reidhead also worked in the Pediatric ED and Neonatal Units at Ben Taub Hosptial, as well as the acute care setting of the adult intensive care units at Park Plaza Hospital and the Pediatric ED at the inner city LBJ Hospitals in the Greater Houston area.
Dr. Reidhead has spent the last 5 years completing her family nurse practitioner degree as well as learning as much as she can about naturopathic, integrative and functional medicine from her mentors, Dr. Mary Shackelton, ND and Dr. Terri Fox, MD.
