FAQ

What do we charge?  We are an out of network, cash pay practice, which means that our providers do not accept insurance for office visits. Payment in full is expected at the time of every visit. You are welcome to request a super bill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Initial appointments are scheduled for 2 hours and are prorated depending on the provider’s hourly rate. Dr Fox’s hourly rate is $700 per hour and Dr. Reidhead’s hourly rate is $400 per hour. Follow-up appointments are often 30 min to 1 hour in length, depending on the depth of visit.

Do you accept insurance for laboratory testing? Every testing company is different. We will do our best to submit to your insurance for many of our routine laboratory tests obtained through the hospital, LabCorp or Quest. Most routine blood work is covered by standard insurance plans, but it is your responsibility to clarify coverage with your insurance carrier. You are also responsible for any fees that your insurance does not cover. Many of our specialty tests will be out of pocket. Some specialty testing companies do accept insurance and require you to pay a minimum co-pay directly before they attempt to put it through to your insurance. We cannot provide services related to insurance reimbursement, it is up to you to contact your insurance company in order to best understand your coverage and to anticipate costs.

What type of testing do you do? In addition to a routine laboratory work up, our providers use a variety of outside specialty labs to best support your health journey. We are well versed in a wide variety of urine, saliva, breath, stool, blood and home safety studies including extensive hormone testing, food sensitivity and gastrointestinal health studies, brain and neurochemistry studies, as well as heavy metal, Lyme and mold testing among others.

We proudly support the LGBTQ+ community.

What is your cancellation policy? If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you give us 2 business days advance notice via phone message, or email in order that we be allowed ample time to fill your appointment time slot with other patients. No shows or cancellations are charged for the full appointment. Cancellations for emergency are weighed on a case by case basis by our staff. We are always happy to reschedule your appointment.

Do we carry supplements? We have a large nutraceutical pharmacy stocked with amazing pharmaceutical grade supplements. We are conveniently open 5 days a week and you are welcome to stop by anytime during business hours to shop for supplements. We are also happy to ship supplements to you directly for a shipping fee, or you can email or call the office and we can have your supplements ready for you to swing by and pick them up. As a patient, you also have access to our online pharmacy, Fullscripts. Fullscripts is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience and carries many of our favorite products.

How can I get my prescription refilled? In order to receive your prescription more quickly, it is best to reach out to the pharmacy directly to address prescription refills. The pharmacist will then send over a prescription request to our providers which can then be handled as quickly as possible. You are also welcome to email our staff directly at info@boulderholistic.com with your name, the drug name, dosage strength and frequency, quantity and name and address of the pharmacy and we will do our best to address these requests by end of business day. Be aware of your prescription quantity and plan ahead. Please know it may take up to one week to receive your new prescription, so be conscientious and allow enough time for all refill requests.

All new patients: We require a credit card to hold your initial new patient appointment.
